I have a 1991 CRX, DX model with a manual transmission. About a year ago the car would not start. Waited a few minutes and it started. No check engine light. The ECU however had a stored code of 16. I cleared code and problem went away. About a week later same thing. I have a honda sevice manual and followed the trouble shooting tree for this code and all checked out OK. The last step said to change ECU if all the other items checked out within spec. I did and car was fine until now. Same thing all over again. Do I really have another bad ECU? I find this hard to believe. Is there something causing this code and causing ECU to go bad?
